In light of our recent collaboration with our favorite biscuit spot, Callie's Hot Little Biscuit, we've put together a little inspo blog for your next delicious breakfast or brunch get-together. If you aren't familiar with Callie's Hot Little Biscuit, you are in for a treat! Founded by Carrie Morey in 2005 in Charleston, this little biscuit shop evolved into a biscuit empire known throughout the South. Callie's Hot Little Biscuit now has four locations that you can visit in Charleston, Atlanta, and Charlotte, plus a food truck. These biscuits will satisfy any craving with all the savory and sweet flavors you can dream of.
Don't have Callie's in your hometown? Don't fret! The best part about this excellent biscuit company is that you can order their products straight to your home. We sampled several of their products, including Traditional Pimento Cheese, Buttermilk Biscuits, Cheese & Chive Biscuits, and Limited Edition Savory Biscuit Crackers (all available on their website), and they did NOT disappoint. Pop these babies in the oven for 25 minutes, and VOILÁ, hot, flaky, buttery, perfect biscuits await. Here are a few tidbits about our fun collaboration and why Callie's Hot Little Biscuit and WREN Home are the perfect pair!
After taste-testing a few of these products, we don't know if we can return to any other biscuits! A few of their products that make the best go-to brunch board are the Pimento Cheese, Buttermilk Biscuits, Cheese & Chive Biscuits, and Biscuit Crackers. You can't go wrong with pimento cheese, but Callie's takes it up a notch. Serve the pimento cheese sandwiched inside their Buttermilk or Cheese and Chive Biscuits (plus a little bacon if you want) for a melt-in-your-mouth treat.
The best part about their take-home or ship-to-your-door biscuits is that they are SO easy to make. All you need to make these biscuits is an oven, a baking sheet, and some foil. It's as simple as preheating the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, wrapping the biscuits in foil, and placing them in the oven for around 25-30 minutes. Once you take them out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes, and serve. These biscuits taste like they're made from scratch without the added work.

We found that these biscuits looked fabulous when served on our Large Sparrow Board. This board made from Yellow Birch and Walnut is unique and leaves room for all the messy brunch food you plan on serving.
Another delicious snack that will be a hit at your next brunch get-together is a Savory Biscuit Cracker and Traditional Pimento Cheese Board. Callie's Limited Edition Savory Biscuit Crackers won't be around for long, so make sure to try some ASAP. These crackers are made from repurposed biscuit dough and make the perfect savory combination when paired with pimento cheese.
